Connection Detection Tool Description

The Connection Detection tool allows you to define up to 64 TCP or UDP listening ports attached to user-specified IPv4 addresses selected from a list of IP addresses that exist on your machine. When an incoming connection is attempted, the IP address of the computer connecting to you is logged and the connection is closed. Use this tool like a 'honeypot' or use it to look for virus/trojan infested computers on your network by listening to ports those viruses/trojans are known to use.

You may define incoming connection alerts such as:

Beep of your computer speaker.
Play a WAV file sound of your choice.
Send an email to an address(es) notifying of the connection attempt with IP, port and time.
Log all attempts to a file including the IP address. You can view the log file at any time. All fields in the log file are tab separated for easy import into a spreadsheet.
