Passive Discovery Tool Description This tool listens to IPv4 traffic on your network and provides a list of active devices on your subnet. The subnet starting IP and subnet mask are user definable. This tool shows the last time a packet was received, the protocol of that last packet and the source/destination ports (if applicable). It also shows the tool session count of IP packets received which can be used to identify systems that talk too much due to a virus or trojan. Results are tabulated in a SQLite database and may be optionally saved for future reference.VIDEO >> See it in action! Note that this tool requires the use of WinPcap. We install WinPcap as part of the installation package. WinPcap is designed for wired ethernet cards, not modems and it may or may not work with wireless interfaces. Screenshot
