This policy applies to our web sites and to any personal information given by you to us in the course of conducting a purchase.

Information Collected Online

• Cookies - our web sites do not use cookies to track visits EXCEPT our support forum will deposit a cookie on your machine to identify returning registered users. The cookie will be identified by 'nwpsw.com'. The support forum provides a way to delete the cookie. If you do not use the support forum, you will not encounter cookies. External sites may use cookies when directing traffic to our site.
• Web/FTP Server Log Files - the web servers of the web hosting companies we utilize record accesses to our web pages and FTP file downloads. These log files are solely for statistical purposes such as most frequently viewed pages. We do not track individual visits unless illegal activity is suspected.
• Web Form Email Messages - email addresses submitted into our online "email us" form are used only to respond to visitor queries and are not added/sold/transferred to any mailing list. At our discretion, we may retain a copy of the submitted message and our outgoing response email message for future reference.
• Email Messages To Our Email Accounts - email addresses sent to our email accounts by non-customers are not added/sold/transferred to any mailing list. At our discretion, we may retain a copy of the received message and our outgoing email message for future reference.
• Software Demo Requests - if a request comes from a person located within the geographical area of a reseller of our software with whom we have an exclusive distribution agreement, we may forward the email address of the requestor to that reseller for follow up by that reseller.
• Google AdWords™ conversion tracking. Some of our pages contain an image and javascript conversion tracking code snippet designed to show us the interest level of traffic driven to our site by AdWords click-throughs.
• We use Google Analytics to track referrals from Google to our site in order to improve our site. Many pages on the site have the code necessary for this to work. Google Analytics uses a javascript tool.

Information Collected By Our Resellers

• Resellers Privacy Policy - please contact each of our resellers for their privacy policies.
• Information Supplied To Us By The Reseller - depending on the type of reseller transaction, we may be supplied with drop ship address information and, in the case of an unlock code from a reseller order, a phone number and email address for delivery. This reseller gathered information given to us never includes payment information such as credit card numbers. This information is used internally by us and is not sold or distributed outside our company.

Information Collected By Us During a Phone/FAX/Mail Purchase

• Personal Information Privacy - all information collected by us during the course of a purchase transaction is used internally within our company and is not distributed to any one else (exception is credit card address verification).
• Credit Card Address Verification - we are required by our bank to do 100% Address Verification of every credit card authorization we make. This helps protect you against unauthorized use of your credit card.
• Transaction Document Retention - we are required by credit card companies and certain government agencies to retain documents for a short period of time that we use to process the sale.
• Email Addresses - either at the time of purchase or when you register one of our products, you can request that we add your email address to our customer list for the specific product you purchased. We occasionally send email relating to the product you purchased. This email usually includes announcements about bug fix patches or new revisions. It may sometimes include information about related products we sell. You can choose to opt out of participating in this list at any time, such as at the time of purchase or later; instructions are provided in the email messages we send. You can also send an email message to us at any time asking for removal from our email notification lists (please include the email address that you receive email from us on).
• Personal Information Security - customer information/lists and related personal data are not kept on our web sites. Our web sites do not directly contain secure online order forms, our web pages are linked to resellers from whom you can make an online purchase. Under no circumstances will Northwest Performance Software sell, rent, loan or give personally identifiable user information to marketers.

Northwest Performance Software, Inc. reserves the right to change this policy at any time by notifying users of the existence of a new privacy statement.
