What does this program do?

• The Managed Switch Port Mapping tool is designed to communicate with a managed ethernet switch using SNMPv1/v2c and map the physical port connections to MAC and IP addresses of the attached devices. The software is designed for use on Microsoft Windows® operating systems.

Requirements

• Operating Systems Supported: Windows 7/2008/Vista/2003/XP/2000 (x86 32 bit versions or x64). Not tested on Windows XP x64  or 2000 x64. Does not require elevated UAC privileges for operation on Windows Vista. This program is a 32 bit program.
• Managed Switch with IPv4 address running SNMPv1/v2c and qBRIDGE-MIB or BRIDGE-MIB. We have successfully tested it with a number of brands and models of switches. Some switches may require enabling SNMP or allowing access through SNMP to bridge mib.
• Switch Compatibility List (as reported to us by users and from our own internal testing)
• Ethernet IPv4 connection to managed switch.
• Read privilege community name for accessing switch data. Write privilege community name is required only if you want to enable or disable a port or set the switch name, location and contact information.
• DOES NOT require NetScanTools Pro for operation. It can run independently of NetScanTools Pro in standalone mode.
