NetScanTools Pro 2001 Support

Windows VISTA: Do not use any version of NetScanTools Pro 2001 Windows Vista.

Version History.
NetScanTools Pro 2001 was first released on January 29, 2001. This version was also known as v4.0. A second major revision was released on July 11, 2001 and it was also known as v5.0.

How to tell which release you have. Please pay attention to which release you have (one or two). This is extremely important in your choice of which SP to download. Your exact release is shown on the top line of the About tab next to the logo in the upper left.

NetScanTools Pro Service Pack Patch Files

NetScanTools Pro 2001 Release 1 (ONE) Service Pack 5 (v4.5) is dated Sept 12, 2002. This service pack is cumulative and may be applied to any older version of NetScanTools Pro 2001 Release 1. THIS IS THE FINAL SERVICE PACK FOR THIS RELEASE--please consider upgrading to the latest version of NetScanTools Pro.

To determine if you need this service pack, start NetScanTools Pro 2001 Release 1 and check the release date on the About tab in the upper left next to the logo icon. If your release 1 date is OLDER and the SP number is less than the service pack info above, you need to install this service pack. DO NOT attempt to install this service pack on any other NetScanTools Pro versions--the service pack will refuse to update your software if you try.

Download Service Pack 5, 09.12.02, 1345KB. To install, exit NetScanTools Pro 2001 and run the service pack. Locate your current installation directory/folder and proceed from there.


NetScanTools Pro 2001 Release 2 (TWO) Service Pack 5 (v5.5) is dated September 6, 2002. This service pack is cumulative and may be applied to any older version of NetScanTools Pro 2001 Release 2. THIS IS THE FINAL SERVICE PACK FOR THIS RELEASE--please consider upgrading to the latest version of NetScanTools Pro.

To determine if you need this service pack, start NetScanTools Pro 2001 Release 2 and check the release date on the About tab in the upper left next to the logo icon. If your release 2 date is OLDER and the SP number is less than the service pack info above, you need to install this service pack. NetScanTools Pro 2001 Problems

Problem (2001 version only): Crashing; program unexpectedly terminates. All operating systems. The TimeSync scheduler is attempting to switch to the wrong tab to perform the TimeSync function.

Solution: Go to the Preferences tab, press the Tab Ordering and Enabling Button to activate the Tab Order Editor, then press OK. Exit NetScanTools Pro and then restart it.

Problem (2001 version only): When Navigate NST Pro is used, it does not always go to the right selected tab. It goes to the adjacent tab instead.

Solution: Go to the Preferences tab, press the Tab Ordering and Enabling Button to activate the Tab Order Editor, then press OK. Exit NetScanTools Pro and then restart it.
